A single convenient way to see Brisbane from a river point of view is to ride the City Cat Ferries, Cruise up and down the Brisbane River. The ferries do not just travel across the river. City cats are shallow draught rapidly flat bottom boats which side smoothly back and forwards across the river starting up at Bretts Wharf Pier at Hamilton and winding it is way by way of the scenic Brisbane River and terminating at the University of Queensland Pier about an hour later.
